RCASG Word Cloud Volunteer

We love our volunteers and rely on them to provide critical programs and support services to our families. We work hard to keep its costs and its fees as low as possible. Therefore, Rockdale County Autism Support Group (RCASG) is run completely by volunteers. There are many times during the year, though, when we need a little extra help.

RCASG is looking for dedicated volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors as well as work on several committees, such as our Fundraising Committee, Autism Awareness Planning Committee, Special Events (e.g., Holiday and bowling, parties, etc. for children and adults), membership, and more.

In our area, RCASG is at the forefront of the provision of resources that enrich the lives of individuals impacted by autism spectrum disorders and their families. This would not be possible without the dedication of our wonderful volunteers and generosity of our surrounding community. We offer many experiences for volunteers throughout the year, including social skills groups, summer bike camp, parent seminars, support groups, fundraising, public relations and administrative tasks.

Interested in working with us or have questions? Please complete the RCASG Volunteer Application and one of our Board Members will be in touch.

    • Hi Imani!

We’d love to have you on board as a volunteer. Were you able to locate the Volunteer Application form on the webpage above? If you are unable to print it from here, we are happy to mail it to you. Just send an email to info@rockdaleautism.org with your address. Looking forward to meeting you!

    • Hi Joycelyn! So sorry for the delayed reply. RCASG hosts programs and activities for families year-round. The iCan Shine Bike Camp runs for one week during the summer (not residential.) We have a variety of volunteer needs that range from Board Member to public awareness/promotion to child care during Parent Meetings. Please email info@rockdaleautism.org with your contact information and interests so we can send you more information. We look forward to working with you!

  1. I am 14 years old and moved here on July 2nd form North Carolina. At my old school I was a peer helper which helps with special needs children. I would love to volunteer. For volunteering, are there specific times and days? Kinda like work? Also does it run through summer and afternoons of what most would consider school hours for highschool? If you could give me some information on somethings like that that would be great.
