Have you wondered about your son or daughter dating? If so, join Parent to Parent of Georgia and Dana Yarbrough on Wednesday, January 14th at 10:30 a.m. for this important discussion about dating and being in relationships that are important experiences for each of us. Barriers to dating and having successful relationships are different for everyone and may depend on how disability impacts a person. This webinar will share some ways young people with disabilities can prepare for dating and some tips and resources for parents on how to begin having these conversations at home.

Dana Yarbrough, M.S., M.A., is the director of Parent to Parent of Virginia and of the Center for Family Involvement at Virginia Commonwealth University. In her roles, Dana oversees post school transition and family support initiatives, including annual Speed Dating sessions for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dana is also the mother of Brooke, her 20 year old daughter with significant intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
