Saturday Respite/Social Skills Groups
The Rockdale County Autism Support Group will host 4-hour respite/social skills groups for participants age 5 to young adult with ASD/Aspergers and their siblings. Groups are managed by Social Skills Today.
Participants will be divided by age and ability. The ASD groups will follow a curriculum designed to teach social skills to attendees with ASD. Each month a different social skill will be taught and attendees will have the opportunity to practice the skill though various activities including group games, team building activities, crafts, outside play and snack time.
Trained teachers and paraprofessionals familiar with the needs of participants on the spectrum will supervise the groups. These staff members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them to ensure that your participant has an enjoyable and safe time while you take time for yourself to do whatever you would like for the afternoon.
The cost is $35/participant and includes a snack. Attendees should bring their lunch or eat prior to arriving.Pre-registration is required.

Social Skills Today provides social skills program management and consulting services for youth with a variety of social, communication, sensory, and behavioral needs.
