Autism Resources in Georgia — 4 Comments

  1. Sir/Mam
My grandson and daughter live in Garfield ga. My grandson was diagnosed with Autism. He is 8 years old last June and struggles in school because of seizures in class due to the activity around him. He has even soiled himself in class which as the year went on caused may students to tease him. The school has refused any special help even with a diagnosis from the doctor. EEG, cat scans and MRI’s to support this.

My daughter has been trying to get a help thru the state and federal government but has gotten nowhere. When she gets medical help it’s for a month at a time and it lapses sometimes. She has told her doctor who is about 40 miles away in her rural area and he has wrote a scathing letter to the local school. They still are ignoring help. In fact there may be a hint of racial discrimination from the staff who she applied with. She is struggling to pay for his medication.

I have provided a flip phone for my daughter so she has some sort of communication. It’s a Michigan number because that where i am located. 734-521-5922. She has to walk out into the street to find signal in her rural area.

My daughter Cayce Lubinski has another child who is 3.5 years old and a single parent. She works but 12-13 an hour won’t cover everything, baby sitting and time off to get Beau from school during trouble times is a big issue. If she could get Beau on Medicaid a Federal program perhaps I could convince her to move up here if the coverage will follow.

Every time she has applied for assistance she has been turned down…My grandson Beau is eligible and I AM NOT SURE WHAT SHE IS DOING WRONG because of the distances.

    Can your agency help?

Thank you for your time! My cell 313-204-8493 email Lubinski@netzero.net

  2. I have been waiting for months and have not received a phone call or an email in regards to seeing if you can provide services for my 22 year old son.
